INSTAGIFT.COM REFUND POLICY

Welcome to the Instagift.com refund policy. This policy explains how we issue and process refunds, and under what scenarios refunds are available.

Default Policy - Five Day Satisfaction Guarantee

Instagift is a marketplace connecting sellers of e-gift cards, discount vouchers, and e-tickets with buyers who wish to purchase these items. Instagift acts as an intermediary in these transactions. Our refund policy is very straightforward. We will issue a refund, for any unused products, for up to five days following purchase. To request a refund, contact Instagift support via any of the various help links from within our site. After five days, we will not be able to accommodate any refund requests, except in cases described below.

Exceptions to the Five Day Refund Policy

  • Event Cancellation - If you purchase e-tickets to an event using our software, and that event is cancelled, we will automatically refund your purchase within 1 week of the cancelled event.

  • Refusal to Honor - Instagift works primarily with small businesses. Occasionally, typically due to staff turnover, a merchant is unfamiliar with Instagift and refuses to honor a valid purchase. If you purchase an Instagift product to a merchant that refuses to honor that product, we will refund your purchase.

Business Closures

A common scenario is that someone will purchase an e-gift card or discount voucher for a business that closes at some point after purchase. In the case of a business closure, we are unable to offer a refund for your purchase. When you make your purchase, you are accepting the risk that if the business closes prior to your ability to use the voucher, you will not be issued a refund. The reason for this policy is simple... if Instagift were required to indemnify buyers against the risk of a business closures, we would not be able to operate. Instagift is a marketplace connecting buyers and sellers, and will not issue refunds to to buyers if sellers close.

Concluded Events

If you purchase e-tickets to an event, and choose not to attend that event, we will not issue you a refund. Even if you purchased the ticket the day before the event, and you are still within our five day window, if you are unable to attend the event, for whatever reason, you are ineligible for a refund.

How we Issue Refunds

In almost all cases we will refund the credit card used to make the initial purchase. If that credit card is, for whatever reason, unable to accept a refund, we will mail you a check for the refund amount.
