With only three days remaining, we have reaised more than $1,000, and we are looking for more tzedakah! For their part, Gleaners has stepped up and will match our raise, which means we have actually exceeded $2,000! Let's not stop there, since not only is it the right thing to do this season, you can also win a $50 Gift Card to Matt Prentice Restaurant Group. Here is how it works...

First for the giving part. You can make as many $5 contributions to the Gleaners Community Food Bank to help those in need during the Holiday Season and all year round. For more than 33 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been "nourishing communities by feeding hungry people.” Last year, Gleaners distributed 40 million pounds of emergency food to over 552 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Monroe counties. Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 96 cents for food and food programs. Your five dollar donation will provide fifteen meals for a hungry neighbor! Gleaners partners with Yad Ezra, the Zion Community Enrichment Center and hundreds of other regional agencies to spread tzedakah throughout the entire Metropolitan Detroit area.

Now for the receiving part. For every $5 donation you make, you will be entered to win a $50 Matt Prentice Restaurant Group Gift Card; good at any of their restaurants. We will be randomly drawing eight names and announcing the lucky winners on each night of Hannukah, beginning Tuesday, December 20th. So the more you give, the better chance you will have to win one of the eight Gift Cards. While every donation is greatly appreciated, if you were to contribute $50, you will actually have 10 chances to win!

• May purchase unlimited number of "vouchers", i.e., $5 donations.
• For every $5 contribution made, you will be eligible to win one of eight $50 Matt Prentice Restaurant Group Gift Cards. For example, if you contribute $50 (10 purchases), you will have 10 chances to win!
• Gift Cards are valid at the following restaurants: Coach Insignia, Northern Lakes Seafood Company, NO.VI Chophouse, Deli Unique of West Bloomfield, Bloomfield Hills, and Novi, and Plaza Deli.
• Vouchers only need to be printed for tax purposes, if needed. Your donation will be forwarded to Gleaners Community Food Bank.
