When we opened we knew that it wouldn't be easy to succeed against the giants in this industry. But we started with a simple philosophy: Offer the very best products,

We are locals hailing from Pittsburgh! We use 100% whole milk mozzarella cheese from Wisconsin.
Our dough is made on location using the finest spring wheat, whole wheat, multi-grain or gluten-free flours!
Our pizzas are hand tossed and custom baked to order.
We load our pizzas with your choice
of large generous toppings and are fresh!

We're often asked what the secret is,
why our pizza is different.
There is no secret.
Put the best stuff in, and the best comes out.
We start with San Marzano tomatoes- they are real tomaotes, not concentrate -
and add some of our own spices. We do NOT add MSG. Our pizza and pasta sauce are Vegan and dairy-free too!
We use high grade mozzarella
that's perfectly aged,
and perfectly shredded,
because it makes a difference. We also offer soy cheeses and goat cheese for those that are dairy intolerant or Vegan. We use non-trans fat oils and our ground beef and sausages are lean, are real, and not soy-extended. We make our own meatballs (GF are available and made in-house as well). When you order red onions, mushrooms or green peppers, you get a slice that's 1/8 inch thick, sliced in the last day or two, never frozen. Garlic is freshly chopped, our basil is grown in our garden and fresh oregano is purchased from a local farmer.
In short, everything is the best of it's kind,
thicker, and we pile it on like nobody else!
If you are Celiac or are wheat intolerant or sensitive, Vertoris is the place for you. We bake all our gluten-free breads in house and offer them with dinner or you can purchase them to go. We sell our "Good To Be Gluten-Free" baked goods every Saturday morning at the Downtown Sarasota Farmer's Market at the corner of Lemon and Main Streets from 7am - noon. We also sell our gluten-free dinners frozen so you can take them home with you or allow us to arrange for shipping.
