Marsh Shapiro's Nitty Gritty has been a popular bar and grill on the UW campus for 39 years, where restaurateurs Marsh and Susan Shapiro have been personally greeting patrons. Serving basic and gourmet burgers, specialty sandwiches and salads and wonderful homemade specials daily. An upstairs facility is also available for larger functions or celebrations. Family friendly atmosphere where 50 to 60 birthdays are celebrated daily at Madison's Official Birthday Place.
The Nitty Gritty in Middleton is the second location put together by Marsh and Susan Shapiro, along with Lee Pier and Eric Suemnicht. Middleton's Official Birthday Place has two floors of family friendly atmosphere to celebrate the kid in all of us. Serving the same great cuisine as the Madison location and conveniently located to Middleton area hotels, shopping areas and neighborhoods.
