When Nabeel’s® Imported Foods & Café was opened by Ottavia and John Krontiras, it was because they believed very strongly that there should be a place in America for a neighborhood café and shop like the ones they grew up with in Europe. These family-run establishments provided a place for the entire family to browse leisurely, have a cup of coffee, or shop for goodies. In these neighborhood stores, customers were treated as people- not just a ticket passing through the checkout line. Ottavia was born in Trieste in Northern Italy and John is a native of Patras in Southern Greece. John and Ottavia realized that there was a need for a family- oriented place where their children and yours would be welcome.

Having seen fast-food franchises come and go, they believe food with home-cooked taste is the reason for their success. At Nabeel’s, we turn back the hands of time to provide you with thoughtful, personal service.
