24 Frames Per Second, The Sidewalk Film Festival Young Professionals Organization, is hosting Birmingham’s 5th Annual Salsa Showdown - a fundraising competition between local restaurants & catering companies to determine who offers the best salsa, guacamole, queso and specialty dip. Admission will include sampling privileges at each competitor’s station, a ballot for casting an “Audience Choice” vote, Piñata Smashes, kids’ activities, access to live entertainment, beverage vending, and the Hot Pepper Eating Contest with cash prize.

Proceeds from this annual event will benefit the Sidewalk Film Festival arts and education programs including Sidewalk Salons, Technology and Technique Workshops, Sidewalk Scrambles, the Sidewrite Competition, Festival Panels and the Youth Board programming.
