The Junior Board of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama strives to support the mission of the House and help the guest families. Since 1979, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama (RMHCA) has been providing a safe, affordable, supportive “home-away-from-home” for sick or injured children and their families when they travel to Birmingham for medical treatment. It is so important because RMHCA provides low cost, temporary housing for families of sick or injured children that come to Birmingham to receive medical care not available in their home communities.

RMHCA has provided more than an estimated 35,000 family stays to approximately 85,000 individual guests from all 67 Alabama counties, across the nation and around the world.
