I love everything about the beach. I love the way it smells. I love the angles the afternoon sun makes as it reflects off the gently swaying water. I love the colors - the soft grays, greens and blues -- that can only be found at water's edge.
Simply put, I love the essence of the beach. The way it feels. The freshness and sense of freedom it evokes. The beach has a distinct mood that has always seemed to elude those who lived away from the coast. At BeachDwelling.com, my partner Jessica Hawkins and I strive to help you capture the essence of the beach and bring it into your home - no matter where it's located.
We hope that BeachDwelling stands out from the many internet shopping venues as much more than an online store. We want it to evoke a feeling... minimal and breezy, chic and urban, modern and vintage. We have worked hard to provide beautiful photography, by the very talented Chris Little, in well-designed spaces to inspire you as you decorate your own home. We don't use props. Everything in every photo is available for sale.
BeachDwelling evolved from my experience decorating my own seaside home. After a career in public accounting and corporate finance, I met and joined forces with interior designer Jessica Hawkins. Jessica is a young designer with a keen eye who brings a youthful and modern edge to my own look. One thing we always agree on is that nothing is sold at BeachDwelling that we wouldn't want ourselves.
We have gathered a well edited mix of products from today's greatest designers. We have also designed our own hand painted furniture line and complimented it with vintage pieces to offer up what we hope is the web's newest, most eclectic mix of inventory, with an emphasis toward turning a blend of old and new into today's freshest beach-inspired, yet anything but beach-themed interiors.
We hope that we have succeeded in providing you a place to escape when you are craving the beach...a place where you can buy a fresh mix of products for your home and your life with just one click. Please visit our website at BeachDwelling.com.
